with a major mall establishment, which meets many needs of the community.
Also up highway 144 are two provincial parks, Windy Lake Provincial Park and
Half Way Lake Provincial Park where great fishing, hiking and campsites are
waiting to be explored.
Onaping Falls puts on a colourful display in the fall as the trees turn in the
autumn season. In September of 2001, Onaping Falls officially opened its geological
tour at High Falls, a lively waterfall central to the geological tour of rock
formations in the Canadian Shield. Many different walking trails in the area
give tourists and residents a wonderful view of the area. The High Falls look
out point has been dedicated to AY Jackson a Group of Seven artist who captured
the falls on canvas.
